The energy-saving combined low dew point compressed air dryer is a new type of drying equipment developed by our company. It features a novel structure, low air consumption, stable operation, energy-saving, convenient operation, and maintenance. And can be interlocked with user DCS, among other features!

Principle of Compressed Air Dryer

The combined low dew point compressed air dryer is a new type of equipment. Which combines refrigeration drying technology with variable pressure and temperature adsorption technology to dry compressed air.

Firstly, the air is pre-cooled and forcedly cooled by the refrigeration dryer, causing a large amount of water vapor to condense into droplets. Which are then discharged from the machine by the drain. The processed compressed air is further deeply dried by a precision filter to remove oil and water. And then passed through a micro-heat regenerative dryer to achieve thorough drying of the compressed air.

Characteristics of Compressed Air Dryer

The energy-saving combined low dew point compressed air dryer has the advantages of energy saving, convenient use, reliable performance, small footprint, and low consumption of air for regeneration. Its operational efficiency is much better than that of the series and split type of refrigeration and adsorption dryers.

Its process adopts adsorption at low temperature and high pressure and regeneration at high temperature and low-pressure principles. The average regeneration air consumption of this dryer is only about 1.6% (at atmospheric dew point -60°C). Which is about 10% of the regeneration air consumption of heatless regenerative dryers and about 20% of the regeneration air consumption of micro-heat regenerative dryers. And about 32% of the regeneration air consumption of refrigeration dryers and heatless regenerative dryers in series.

In conditions where the relative humidity is close to 100%. Its adsorption temperature is below 5°C, and the adsorption capacity of the desiccant is maximized. Its regeneration temperature is about 80°C, ensuring thorough regeneration of the desiccant. In contrast, other similar products (such as refrigeration without heat series) have adsorption and regeneration temperatures at room temperature (between 20°C and 45°C) and are unstable. Therefore, the regeneration air consumption of this equipment is the smallest among similar products. Also, with the lowest comprehensive energy consumption and the most stable outlet dew point.

Process Flow

This dryer adopts a new process combining refrigeration drying and variable pressure and temperature adsorption technology.

It is composed of a refrigeration dryer and a micro-heat regenerative dryer. Which have an inseparable internal connection in the process setting. The pre-cooler of the refrigeration dryer (which exchanges heat between the inlet and outlet air to remove water) has a large heat exchange area and can remove about 73% of the total water content in the compressed air. The evaporator of the refrigeration dryer (refrigerant cooling) can remove about 19% of the total water content in the compressed air. While the micro-heat dryer only needs to remove about 8% of the total water content in the compressed air to achieve deep drying.

It’s can be used in nitrogen generation systems and oxygen generation systems. It is a new generation of air dryer carefully designed and developed by our company based on long-term research and development. We also drawing on experiences and advanced technologies from both domestic and international sources.
