The startup operation of our nitrogen generator is very simple. After receiving the equipment, our after-sales personnel will guide the installation on-site. Small equipment will be pre-commissioned in our factory, and the customer can put it into use directly after connecting the pipes. For large equipment, Shenger after-sales personnel will commission the equipment until the purity and flow rate meet the standards.

In this article, we will mainly introduce some preparations and startup operations for the nitrogen generator.

Preparation Before Startup:

  1. Check whether all supporting equipment is in normal condition.
  2. Verify that the main power supply is normal and check the fuses and grounding of all electrical equipment.
  3. Ensure that the system air circuit is normal, and the pipes are connected to the usage point.
  4. Clean all supporting equipment of the nitrogen generator. Wipe off surface dust, use clean air to blow the heat sinks of the air compressor and dryer. Check if the air compressor lubricant is sufficient and clean. And inspect the tension of the belts and the refrigerant level in the dryer.
  5. Check if all equipment valves are in the correct open/close position.

Startup Operation of Nitrogen Generator:

  1. Turn on the power switch of the electrical control cabinet. The analyzer and touch screen will be powered on and enter standby mode.
  2. Calibrate the nitrogen analyzer according to the “Analyzer Manual” and set the lower limit of the nitrogen purity alarm on the analyzer based on the equipment nameplate parameters.
  3. Check the system settings on the touch screen (refer to the touch screen operation manual) to ensure they are correct.
  4. Ensure the air storage tank pressure is sufficient and the flow is adequate. Then start the equipment using the touch screen. The control system will start.
  5. Open the throttle valve LV01 (refer to the flow chart for valve numbers) to supply air to the system.
  6. Open BV02 to activate the valve drive air source. Open it for the first startup.
  7. Open the air tank drain valve to drain, then close it. Drain once per shift at the start and end of the shift. Regularly drain the nitrogen tank once a month to check for normal operation. There should be no wastewater, only a small number of particulate impurities. If a large amount of black carbon particles is present, the equipment needs maintenance.
  8. Set the equipment parameters according to the touch screen operation instructions and press the touch screen startup button. The main unit will enter working mode.
  9. At this point, the solenoid valve will operate according to the preset program, and the pneumatic valve will also operate correspondingly. The nitrogen generator will enter the operating process.
  10. Subsequently, you can refer to our provided “Nitrogen Generator User Manual” for detailed operations.

Shutdown Operation of Nitrogen Generator:

  1. Close the throttle valve LV05 to stop the nitrogen supply.
  2. Close the throttle valve LV03 and record the opening of valve LV03 for the next startup.
  3. Press the stop button on the touch screen to stop the equipment.
  4. Turn off the air compressor, dryer, and other equipment.
  5. Turn off the power switch of the electrical control cabinet.
  6. Close the analyzer sample gas valve LV04.
  7. Close the inlet valve LV01.
  8. Cut off the main power supply.

Note! During the first startup, if the nitrogen is not up to standard, you can release a small amount of nitrogen (about half the flow rate) to shorten the buffer tank replacement time and achieve a quick startup.

The above is the startup operation of the nitrogen generator from Zhejiang Sheng’er Gas Equipment!
